What are my career options if I do this degree?

Students completing this qualification have insights in the fields of managing finances, overseeing administrative procedures and systems, running my own business, running someone else’s business, selling products or services, numbers and figures, leading a group of people, planning and organising the activities of others, marketing.

This qualification gives admission to further studies should you wish to study a BCom or BCompt.

What are the admission requirements?

A National Senior Certificate (NSC) with at least 30% in the language of teaching and learning,

or

a Senior Certificate (SC) with at least an F symbol on HG or E symbol on SG in the language of teaching and learning,

or

a National Certificate (Vocational) with at least 40% in the language of teaching and learning in terms of the NSC. Selection option for the Higher Certificate studies will be limited and aligned to vocational subject choices obtained in the National Certificate Vocational (NCV) level 4.

Applicants may be required to register for one or two additional modules (depending on co-requisites) concurrently with the modules in the syllabi,

Applicants, who do not comply with the above requirements, should consider applying for a lower-level qualification for which they meet the statutory and additional requirements.
